Dundee Botanic Garden – action plan development
The University of Dundee Botanic Garden has been in operation for over 50 years. In 2022 Xcentuate was invited to tender for a project to determine how to move the Garden from a being a cost centre of the University’s Estates Department to a more resilient and self-sustaining operating model.
Scotch Whisky International – new project development
SWI is a Netherlands based whisky investment company, their focus on Scottish single malt whisky. With plans to move to Scotland in the near future SWI is advancing a detailed planning process that will ultimately see the company relocate to Falkland in Fife, the location of the first recorded order of Scotch whisky in 1494. The order was placed by Falkland Palace with the whisky being distilled by monks at Lindores Abbey.
Paddle Steamer Waverley – fundraising support
Xcentuate was engaged by Waverley Steam Navigation Company in late 2023 to provide fundraising support for the organisation. With significant annual maintenance and refurbishment costs it is hoped that fundraising can help support these costs and help keep Waverley sailing for many years to come.
Aero Space Kinross – new science centre development
Xcentuate was initially engaged to help navigate the complex process required to unlock £1.6m in UK Government funding for the project. Our work started in late 2021 and has included development of a ‘Green Book’ standard Single Stage Business Case, an Outline Business Case and finally a Full Business Case or FBC.
Dundee Museum of Transport
Having opened its doors to the public in 2014 Dundee Museum of Transport has positioned itself as one of the most popular things to see and do in Dundee. In 2015 the museum purchased a former Victorian tram depot in the city with the intention of restoring it and making it the museum’s new home. After a number of years and attempts to progress the project the museum board engaged Xcentuate in April 2022 with the remit of making its relocation happen.
