Business Support Manager
Xcentuate is seeking a proactive Business Support Manager to support the Managing Director in overseeing projects, operations and business development. The role will be varied and fast‑paced and contribute directly to the continued success and growth of the organisation.
This is a twelve‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of a contract extension by negotiation.The salary range is £30-£35,000 FTE, pro‑rated for part‑time hours. We are open to appointing on either a part‑time (minimum equivalent of two days per week) or full‑time basis.The successful candidate will work from home and will be provided with any equipment required to perform the role effectively. While not essential, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be based in Scotland to support occasional in‑person meetings and familiarity with the local context.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing strategic and administrative support to the Managing Director, helping to prioritise workload, track actions and ensure timely follow‑through on key commitments.

Providing fundraising support, including coordinating funding applications, maintaining funder records, and assisting with grant management, reporting and pipeline tracking.

Undertaking desk research to inform client projects, proposals, business planning and internal decision‑making.

Preparing, formatting and proof‑reading documents, presentations and reports for clients and funders.

Maintaining accurate digital filing and business information systems, including basic data analysis and reporting to support management decisions.

Providing wider operational support such as direct liaison with clients, partners and suppliers.

Being able to evidence relevant experience in business support, operations, project support or fundraising‑related roles will be critical. Experience of working within visitor attractions or the wider cultural or charitable sector would be advantageous but is not essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, detail‑focused and confident working with documents and data. Strong written communication skills and good IT proficiency (e.g. Office 365) are essential. An interest in artificial intelligence and its practical applications in professional services would be a distinct advantage, as Xcentuate is actively exploring how AI can enhance our internal processes and help us better meet the evolving needs of clients.
